Assistant Houseparent/Student Support - from September 21

The Assistant Houseparent lives and works in our residential boarding House, as part of the pastoral team, which comprises the Head of Boarding, houseparents and graduate residential assistants. You will play a full part within boarding, supervising students and taking part in trips and activities. You will also play a supporting role in the school and have the opportunity to work across the curriculum subjects including with our therapy teams. 

We are looking for a friendly proactive team player to join our dedicated staff who is committed to the social, personal, and academic development of our students. Enthusiasm, patience, and a sense of ‘I can’ along with a good sense of humour are all required in addition to sound organisational skills.  

This is a permanent role, working 45 hours a week, term time plus INSET training days. Salary £17,398 including accommodation and meals.  The successful person would preferably have a full, clean, and current driving licence.

Sixth Form Teaching Assistant - September 2021

Due to internal promotion, an opportunity to join our thriving Sixth form department. 

The successful applicant will work a split site week at Frewen College and our partner, Bexhill College, and will support students on a wide range of vocational and academic courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3. Experience of working with students with Specific Learning Difficulties is helpful but not essential.

Salary based on TA3 £14,303 (£19,122 FTE), 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 4pm, term-time only plus INSET

Cleaner

Monday to Friday, 7am to 10am, 3.30pm to 6.30pm term time plus 14 additional days in the school holidays. 

The salary for this post is based on £9 per hour with uniform and training provided.

Volunteer Staff

Please contact us if you are interested in helping either in class, with lunchtime supervision, or with special events. We also welcome conservation volunteers prepared to help us preserve and develop our outstanding historic buildings and grounds.
