Head of English and Literacy
We are seeking an exceptional Head of English and Literacy to lead our whole‑school approach from Year 7 through to Sixth Form. This is a key leadership position for an experienced and passionate educator who can shape strategic direction, inspire colleagues, and champion outstanding teaching for students with dyslexia.
You will drive the development of English and Literacy across the school, ensuring alignment with our vision and aims. You will lead the department in delivering excellent, differentiated, and appropriately adapted lessons that enable students with dyslexia to achieve strong outcomes.

Speech and Language Therapist
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join our Learning Support team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly specialist setting, supporting young people from Year 7 to Sixth Form to develop the speech, language and communication skills they need to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential.
You will be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with the HCPC and have experience in supporting children and young people with dyslexia and associated SpLDs. Experience of advisory work, training delivery or working across multiple settings would be welcomed.
- Working Hours: Term time, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week (typically 8.30am–4.30pm) including INSET and a further 11 days per year. Flexibility around hours and location may be required to support outreach services.
- Salary: £45,000 and includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay.
- Annual Leave: This is a term-time plus role and therefore you will be expected to take your annual leave during school holiday periods.

Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our thriving Learning Support team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in supporting students from Year 7 to Sixth Form, helping them develop the sensory, motor, executive functioning and self‑regulation skills needed to access learning, build independence and thrive within a supportive boarding school environment.
Working closely with teaching staff, boarding teams, parents, and external professionals, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s study skills programme, including whole‑class teaching. You will also provide specialist input to EHCPs and review processes, offer advice and training to staff and parents, support admissions and outreach activities, and play an active role in the wider life of the school. The role includes some floor‑based work and use of therapy equipment, as well as opportunities for outreach, advisory work and professional development.
Experience of advisory work, training delivery and working across multiple settings would be an advantage.
- Working Hours: This is a part‑time, permanent position working 4 days a week, 8.30am to 4.30pm (30 hours per week) during school terms, including INSET and a further 11 days per year. Flexibility around hours and location may be required to support outreach services.
- Salary: £36,000 includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay. This is based on a full-time salary of £45,000.
- Annual Leave: This is a term-time plus role and therefore, you will be expected to take your annual leave during school holiday periods.

Assistant to the Head of Learning Support
The Assistant to the Head of Learning Support will support with the strategic development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality SEND provision within an independent boarding school specialising in dyslexia and related specific learning difficulties. The role requires a strong understanding of EHCP processes, excellent communication with fee-paying parents and Local Authorities, and a commitment to inclusive, evidence-based practice.
- Working Hours: 3 days a week, 8.30am to 4.30pm (to be agreed with successful applicant), with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Term time only including INSET and a further 11 days during the school holidays.
- Salary: £15,367 and includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay. This is based on a full-time salary of £30,420.
- Annual Leave: This is a term-time plus role and therefore you will be expected to take your annual leave during school holiday periods.

Learning Development Mentor
To support the learning, social, and personal development of all Sixth Form students, both on‑site at Frewen College and off‑site at partner colleges. The role also includes delivering Maths and English tutoring to support GCSE resits and the development of functional skills (life skills and formal functional skills examinations).
The position additionally requires full participation in the wider life of an independent boarding school.
- Working Hours: Term-time plus INSET and a further 11 days during the school holidays depending on the school needs, full‑time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm, with a 30‑minute unpaid break.

- Working Hours: Term-time plus INSET and a further 11 days during the school holidays depending on the school needs, full‑time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm, with a 30‑minute unpaid break.
- Salary: £19,209 and includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay. This is based on a full-time salary of £25,760.

We are looking for a responsible, friendly person to join our lovely Housekeeping Team.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 1pm. This is a term-time only role plus 20 days in the school holidays.
- Salary: £16,922 and includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay. This is based on an hourly rate of £12.71.
- Annual Leave: This is a term-time only role being 34 weeks and therefore you will be expected to take your annual leave during school holiday periods.

Minibus Driver (Split shifts)
We are looking for a responsible, friendly person who will provide a professional and safe minibus service to our pupils. You must hold a clean D1 driving licence. Uniform and training provided
- Working Hours: Term-time. Monday to Friday, 6:15am - 8:45am and 3.45pm - 6pm (Tuesday 4.45pm – 7pm).
- Annual Leave: This is a term-time only role, being 34 weeks and as such you will be expected to take your annual leave during school holiday periods.
- Salary: £16,055 and includes 5.6 weeks pro-rata holiday pay. It is based on an hourly rate of £15.90.
