Our Boarding Team
Our joint Heads of Boarding Richard and Jane Sage have many years experience of running boarding houses as well as having brought up their own children. Richard and Jane are also teachers and they teach for part of the day so providing a link between the academic and pastoral aspects of the school. Richard is also an avid 'Pompey' fan, but in view of our historic connections with Portsmouth (through Admiral Frewen) we are prepared to forgive him!
Our Boarding Housemaster Chris Moverly has responsibility for the organisation of activities and acts as a Keyworker for the senior boys. Our Housemistress for the new girls' boarding house is Stevie Joyce, who is supported by Rachel Woodgate: please see the separate page for more information.
Two gap tutors join us each year and prove excellent role models for the boys especially with regard to sport and music. For 2010, we are delighted to welcome Ben Smit and Bobby Flecker from Tasmania and New Zealand. Complementing our boarding staff in providing pastoral care, we have Matron Claudia Allsopp, who is extremely experienced. As well as being responsible for First Aid across the school, Claudia supports the teaching staff in providing health education. Claudia is supported by two of our classroom staff who are trained Mentors, Moira Marchant at Frewen Juniors, and Stephanie White at Frewen.
