Cricket
For many years the local village cricket team have had permission to play on our ground, and in return they maintain the pavilion, cricket field, and in particular the square. It is rated as one of the best village cricket grounds in the county. Being bordered by magnificent mature oak and sweet chestnut trees, on the edge of an ancient deer park, it is also one of the most attractive.
We play a number of fixtures against local mainstream schools and there is fierce competition to get into the school team. Results are improving as students gain in confidence and experience. A number of the boarders practice in the nets with the village team after school and at weekends.
The junior school play 'Quick Cricket', and this summer we hosted a tournament for local schools.
