Welcome to the original dyslexia specialist school.
Frewen College helps young people aged from 7 to 18 whose education has been adversely affected by specific learning difficulties, namely dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, or speech and language difficulties. Originally founded in 1910 we believe we are the oldest such school in the country. Our website is packed with information and regularly updated, so I hope you will find everything you need to know.
The school is in full festive mode and our boarding staff have excelled themselves with the Christmas decorations. Prep and Senior School Concerts, the Christmas Book Fair, end of term Carol Service and most popular of all a superb Christmas Lunch all serve to make this a very special time in the school's calendar. Sadly though we shall also be saying 'goodbye' to our long serving Deputy Head Mr Nick Oddy after nearly 30 years' service to the school. He will be very greatly missed and we thank him for his enormous contribution to making Frewen the outstanding school it is.
If you would like to find out more about us, please come along to one of our regular Open Mornings: the next two dates are Thursday 16th January and Saturday 8th February. I look forward to meeting you, and I very much hope we will be able to help you.
With warm regards,
