A new minibus service to Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells
At autumn half term the school is introducing a brand new minibus service to help parents living in the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells area. We have appointed a very experienced school minibus driver and he will be collecting children from scheduled stops in Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Frant, Wadhurst and Ticehurst. This reflects an increase in enquiries from the area, and will particularly help working parents who cannot manage the drive.

The Archers are coming!
No, not your grandmother's favourite radio programme! Tying in neatly with our autumn term 'Creative Curriculum' theme 'Into Frewen Forest', we are introducing archery as an activity at the Prep School, much to the envy of the Seniors! It will of course be a voluntary activity and very closely controlled by a qualified instructor. Being located between beautiful Bodiam Castle and the bustling small town of Battle, site of the most famous arrow shot in our history, there could hardly be a more appropriate location to inspire an interest in this ancient sport. Plans are also well advanced for fencing and mountain biking, so keep watching this space!
New Open Morning format
We have introduced a new format for our Open Mornings at the Prep School. In future we will invite parents to come along from 9.15 a.m. for refreshments, and then the Headmistress will welcome them at 9.30 a.m. with a few words about the school, followed by a tour. There will be a further welcome talk and tour at 10.30 a.m. Parents can have one-to-one discussions about how we may be able to help their child, and where time permits briefly review any available reports. If they wish they can then go across the road to Frewen College for a tour of the senior school. We will usually have a selection of existing parents and pupils available for you to quiz about what life at Frewen Prep is really like!
Our pupils have been going potty, ably assisted by our gardening team Lee and Ollie. They have each planted their very own tree and will be responsible for looking after it for the rest of their time at Frewen Prep. Head Gardener Lee gave them step by step instruction and I expect we'll see some competition to see who can grow the tallest tree!
