2007 GCSE Results
First of all, a note of caution. We know that a number of parents view these results and think 'My child cannot possibly achieve that, so we had better look elsewhere.'
Do not be alarmed! Your child's past performance in mainstream education, without specialist support, gives very little indication of just what can be achieved with the proper support and encouragement. Many of the results shown below come from children whose parents thought they would leave school with no qualifications at all.
Exam entries
We encourage pupils to sit GCSE exams in as many subjects as we believe they can manage. Those we think cannot cope with English or Maths at GCSE level are put in for the Entry Level Certifcate so that they have a goal to aim for and a reward for their efforts.
We do not select the examination results we publish, as we believe that all our pupils' efforts represent an achievement of which they, and we, can be proud. Please note however that due to our small year groups and the extent of the difficulties some of our pupils have, performance levels can vary widely from one year to another.
GCSE Results 2007:
Pupils normally sit at least 5 GCSEs. In 2007 we had 13 Year 11 pupils, and the overall pass rate was 99%, the only 'failure' being due to absence. Nearly 40% of all results were at Grade A*-C, a very creditable result for our pupils. All pupils passed between 5 and 9 GCSEs, with an average of 6.8 passes.
Optional subjects are shown in red.

Entry Level Certificates 2007
Eight pupils sat the Entry Level Certificates for Maths and/ or English as it was not considered likely that they would pass the GCSE exams. ELC exams are graded 3,2 or 1, or 'U' for unclassified, with 3 being the top.
